FONT PAINTER
How to make a font from your handwriting
Digitize your handwriting step by step: fill a template, photograph it and check the imported letters. Adjust sizes and spacing before building your own TTF.
Step-by-step guide
- Select the alphabet, digits and punctuation for your template. Decide which languages your font needs to support.
- Fill the cells in your usual handwriting. Photograph the entire sheet in even light without shadows or cropped markers.
- Upload the completed template and inspect each recognized character: outline, size and baseline position.
- Preview words with different letter combinations, fix spacing and build the TTF. Import an individual photograph to add a missing letter.
What you can do
Upload template
Print a template, fill the cells with your handwriting and upload a scan or photo. Your letters become the starting point for your font.
Alignment
Adjust letter height and position on the line. Align characters to the baseline so your words sit neatly together.
Variants
Add several versions of the same letter. Different widths, slants and shapes capture the natural variety of writing by hand.
