FONT PAINTER
How to turn typed text into handwriting
Follow the conversion workflow: paste text, choose a font, adjust ink, spacing, margins and a grid. See an example and fix common issues before exporting your PDF.
Step-by-step guide
- Paste your prepared text into the editor. Remove accidental line breaks introduced when copying from a PDF.
- Choose a handwriting font in the Tiptap toolbar. If a missing-letter warning appears, select a font containing those characters.
- Adjust letter size and ink color. Use the basic settings for margins, line height and paragraph spacing.
- If needed, enable squares or ruled lines in the Grid tab. Check that the line spacing suits the text size.
- Create a PDF and review every page. For a notebook background, choose Create PDF with background and adjust text placement in Mesh.
Conversion example
Source text
Every letter has a character.
Handwritten appearance
Every letter has a character.
Common problems
- Missing letters: inspect the warning and choose another font manually. Changing the font does not translate the text.
- Unexpected breaks or styles after pasting: clean up paragraphs and formatting before exporting.
- Crowded or overflowing text: reduce the font size or adjust margins and spacing, then generate the PDF again.
What you can do
Any background
Plain, ruled, grid paper or your own background.
